SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Tasked with settling one of the most competitive position battles in all of college football, Notre Dame?coach Brian Kelly isnt ruling anything out when it comes to picking between?DeShone Kizer?or?Malik Zaire?as the Fighting Irishs starting quarterback.Speaking on campus Friday, one day before Notre Dame opens fall camp at Culver Military Academy for a five-day stint off-site, Kelly didnt want to get too far ahead of himself when discussing who could take the opening snap Sept. 4 at Texas -- a more liberal approach after declaring in the spring that he eventually wanted to choose one guy to lead his offense and move forward from there.I havent resisted any temptation, to be honest with you, Kelly said of how to use his quarterbacks. All I can tell you is were going to let both of them compete, and we think well have a starter for you, but I dont know what will happen during the year. During the year there might be a lull in the game where we feel like: All right, the other guys practicing well, well play him. I dont know. For me to stand here right now and tell you one guys going to be the starter every single game would be foolish of me. Ive got two really good quarterbacks, so I really couldnt tell you what Im going to do other than were going to have a starting quarterback, and we know that the No. 2s going to be ready, too. Ive got to have two really good quarterbacks in college football. I think weve all seen that your guys going to get banged up, hes going to come out and you better have the other guy ready to go, because nobody really cares that your starter went down; youve got to win anyway. So Ive got to get both of them ready to play at the highest level and then what happens, how they go in, well just figure that out when they get there.Zaire is back at full health after breaking his right ankle in Week 2 at Virginia last season, which gave way to Kizer, who led a comeback win on a moments notice en route to an 8-3 mark as a starter. Zaire is 3-0 as a starter, including a 19-for-22, 313-yard performance in last years opener against Texas. Both players are dual-threat quarterbacks hailing from western Ohio. Kizer, who is right-handed, is a redshirt sophomore. Zaire, a lefty, is a redshirt junior.Kizer completed 63 percent of his passes last season for 2,884 yards with 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, adding 520 rushing yards and 10 scores on the ground.I think its just to develop on what I did last year, Kizer said of what he needs to do to win the job. Obviously we had a pretty decent season and theres a couple things that we need to improve on, and those things Ive been working on all summer, and hopefully that leads me to a position where Ill be the guy who takes the first snap.Kelly said he hadnt done as good of a job as he would have liked of letting Zaire be himself in the spring, when he was just six months removed from ankle surgery. That has changed this camp, and the fourth-year player is now hoping this will be the season it all comes together for him after losing the position battle to Everett Golson in 2014 and having it taken away from him because of injury in 2015.I just think waiting through this whole four years being able to try to get that opportunity to show my value for the team has been a good anticipation and is hopefully coming to a great storybook ending, Zaire said.Adidas Stan Smith Authentic . -- The proud fathers huddled near the Dallas Stars dressing room, smiling, laughing and telling stories while wearing replica green sweaters of their sons team. Ibaka equaled a career high with 20 rebounds, adding four blocked shots and 15 points as the Thunder smothered the Milwaukee Bucks offence in a 92-79 victory Saturday night.Danny Cipriani illuminated an otherwise dull Aviva Premiership showdown at Allianz Park that saw Saracens grind out a 30-14 bonus-point victory over Wasps. With England head coach Eddie Jones watching from the stands, Cipriani set up his teams only try with a dashing step and injection of pace and sped off on another eye-catching break in the second half.It will not have been enough to change Jones thinking on a player he has repeatedly overlooked in favour of George Ford and Owen Farrell, but his creative spark behind an outmuscled pack breathed life into an eagerly-awaited clash that delivered few thrills.Saracens ended the leagues last 100 per cent record with two tries from Jamie George in the final 12 minutes propelling them out of sight in a comprehensive victory that serves a statement against a team viewed as the greatest threat to their title.Billy Vunipola emerged as their star performer after a tireless shift in which he carried the fight to Wasps time and again to help Saracens move to the top of the table. It was his older brother Mako who made the first indent on the visitors, however, after the loosehead prop burrowed over from a short-range line-out that was set up by a darting run from Schalk Brits and a brainless penalty by Nathan Hughes.Billy left his calling card on opposite number Hughes, a pretender to his England number eight jersey, by stripping the ball out of his hands to enable Saracens to launch a counter attack. It was not until the first quarter had passed that Wasps visited the home 22 for the first time and, although it was only a brief stay, there were signs that the balance of power was shifting.dddddddddddd.An attacking line-out ended just short of the line when prop Simon McIntyre was penalised for holding on, but a spin out of the tackle from the influential Ashley Johnson forced Saracens to scramble.Jimmy Gopperth landed a penalty to reward Wasps endeavour, but their scrum was taken apart shortly after and Alex Lozowski sent his kick between the uprights. It was going to take a flash of genius to pierce Saracens defence and it was delivered in the 38th minute when Cipriani skinned Billy Vunipola with a burst of acceleration, darted down an exposed left wing and fed the scoring pass to Josh Bassett.Once Kearnan Myall had been helped from the pitch with a bloodied head, the champions issued their response with a series of drives that ended with Richard Wigglesworth sending a fizzing final pass to Mike Ellery.Cipriani glided into space to set pulses racing early in the second half, but having chipped ahead he lost the foot race with Lozowski.Gopperth and Lozowski exchanged penalties and, following a 10-minute spell of dominance from Wasps, Saracens began camping deep in opposition territory but failed to score the try to put daylight between the rivals.Instead, the next points were delivered by the boot of Gopperth and the visitors appeared to be seizing the initiative only for replacement hooker George to burrow over from close range twice in succession.
