MDTThe Denver Broncos had signed free agent offensive lineman Chaz Green as the team prepares for mandatory minicamp this week. The move will bring their roster to the full 90-man limit. Green, 27, is a former third round pick (91st overall) by the Dallas Cowboys and has spent time with both the Oakland Raiders and New Orleans Saints. He appeared in 44 games and might be best known for being the Cowboys version of Ty Sambrailo as Green helped heavily in giving up six sacks to Adrian Clayborn in 2017. The fifth-year player out of Florida won’t be asked to start any games, however, and maybe under Mike Munchak he’ll find a way to revive his NFL career as an experienced backup for the Broncos. The Broncos starters seem to be fairly locked in with Garett Bolles, Dalton Risner, Connor McGovern, Ronald Leary, and Ja’Wuan James there. Green would have to find a way to get up to speed quickly during minicamp and then training camp to surpass Sam Jones, Austin Schlottmann and Elijah Wilkinson. Offensive line depth is an issue for the 2019 Broncos, however, so there is a chance Green could grow enough under Munchak’s tutelage to push for one of those final roster spots on the offensive line. Experience matters in the NFL. Starting inside linebacker Todd Davis is one of only six players remaining from the Broncos’ 2015 Super Bowl title team. Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr., Emmanuel Sanders https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , Derek Wolfe and Brandon McManus are the others from that team still in Denver after Brandon Marshall, Shane Ray and Matt Paradis left this offseason.“I think it will be a little different,’’ Davis said, via Mike Klis of Denver’s 9News. “Every year it changes, but the guys we just lost were players I had played with a long time. So it’ll be different, but you have to build some new bonds and take in some new family members.”Vic Fangio is the Broncos’ fourth head coach since Davis arrived during the 2014 season. Davis also has played for John Fox, Gary Kubiak and Vance Joseph.Davis, though, calls this offseason “exciting” with hope of getting back to the postseason in 2019 after a three-year absence.
